Background

A bit about me.

I'm a backend developer who got into this because I liked understanding how things work under the hood — and that hasn't changed. I spend most of my days reading how to better my understanding of backend architecture and when I'm not I'm spending time with my friends 😎.

I work mainly in Java Spring Boot and Node.js/Express.js, with PostgreSQL and MySQL as my databases of choice. I'll reach for a NoSQL solution when it genuinely makes sense, but I've seen enough over-engineered stacks to know that a well-designed relational schema solves most problems.

I care about writing code that the next person can read without needing a meeting to explain it. Good documentation, sensible naming, no magic.
